Refund Policy
Automob Lanka Pre-Purchase Vehicle Inspection — Effective from 01/08/2022
- Scope. This policy applies exclusively to pre-purchase vehicle inspection services booked with Automob Lanka Mechanics Private Limited.
- Cancellation by Automob Lanka. If a scheduled inspection is canceled by us due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., technician availability, emergencies, severe weather), a full refund will be issued to the original payment method.
- Client-Initiated Cancellations.
- 24 hours or more before appointment: Full refund or free reschedule.
- Less than 24 hours before appointment: 50% cancellation fee.
- Same-day cancellation or no-show: Non-refundable.
- Fee Structure for Reassignments. If the scheduled vehicle becomes unavailable (sold) and the inspector has already departed, a 50% reassignment fee applies. You may reassign the inspection to another vehicle within 7 days of the original booking.
- Refund Exceptions. Refunds are not available if you change your mind or no longer wish to proceed after booking.
- Refund Processing. Once approved, refunds are processed within 7–10 business days to the original payment method. Bank or payment provider timelines may vary.
- Policy Modifications. Automob.lk may update this policy at any time; changes take effect upon posting on the website.
